When I was a kid, I was a pretty finicky eater; despite all the wonderful Taiwanese dishes that my mother and grandmother would cook for my sister and me; I preferred to eat meals of just rice and sauce. Thankfully, I’ve expanded my food horizons; living for a couple of years in food-mecca Berkeley while I was an undergraduate opened my eyes (and tastebuds) to all the great foods that exist in this world. Now I’d like to think that I’ve actually become quite obsessed with everything and anything food-related. My first foray into cooking was baking a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving for my friends my second year at college; since then, I’ve progressed to other forms other than baking, though anything involving flour/sugar/butter/milk/an oven still remains near and dear to my heart. I also relish in trying new restaurants. This blog serves as a little place where I can document my various food adventures.
